A Calcified Past is Repetitive

Labels represent constructs
Boundaries we’ve achieved
Religions, clubs, societies
Wherein meaning has been weaved

Everything beyond those gates
Matter, just a little!
Pack mentality facilitates
In construction of this riddle

The ‘Matrix’ or the ‘Hum’
Make the human animal it’s host
Feeding off its energy
Emitting frequencies the most

For basically we’re energy
Ionic in respect
Living within our meat-sack
Sometimes oft bereft

The soul contract we agreed to
Metaphorically presented
The legacy of existence
Within our constructs perhaps prevented

Each event or person near us
A mirror to our soul
Helping us to see within
Might just be their given role

The things we judge ‘out of hand’
Born of history’s past
Hold us in its grip
To recognize the task

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
