A Discount without Merit

We discount our connections
By chance or circumstance
As we move through daily lives
With no thought of what’s the chance

A bread isle passerby
Or, meeting a friend of a friend
Just cumulative daily chatter
Of no consequence in the end

In reality, an opportunity
For advancement of the Soul
As reaction is substantial
If transformation is the goal

With each and every confrontation
That we observe inside our mind
The reactions we’ve collected
Within our lives overtime

Observation and dismissal
Or even through confession
Expands your life substantially
Just a part of daily lessons.

It’s difficult to be completely awake every second of the day. Our daily
tasks of earning a living, taking care of our families and homes are a big
part of our responsibilities. Therefore, in our pursuit of errands and
what-not, it’s all about meeting a goal. Everything else goes away.

However, it could be that stranger that you just passed in the bread isle
might just need a glance and a smile that’s connected to a vital Soul. Our
lives are not the random events that we normally make them out to be. We
are miniature electromagnetic energy units and we magnetize circumstances
to ourselves, commensurate to our expectation or because of our merit.
Being willing to share the gift of energy with others increases merit.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
