A Fiat Compromise

by | Sep 2, 2022 | Uncategorized

Are people called into another’s life
Or, is that justification more?
To explain such poor behavior
That some might call a ‘whore’

It seems he entered in
His need could not contain
Not getting all he needed
Of a sex life and wife complained

Suggested he was unhappy
Needs not getting met
But willingly submitting because of security
And a pension he’d eventually get

The compromises cost us
Time we cannot replace
But ‘normal’ people submit
Fiat losses cannot be faced

The world creating boxes
Through systems of belief
Constrain and hold us hostage
Of energy and time a thief

Is this his ego holding tight?
With community in his mind
It’s his choice to live his life
With satisfaction not to find

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
