Jesus was not a Christian
Along his path a ‘Christ’
Strung up like a common thief
A steep and heavy price
Born a Jew in Bethlehem
But deserted what he’d learned
Thereby became a heretic
A title he well had earned
Overturned the money-changers
Inside the temple walls
Rebuked them for their usury
Part of his great downfall
A chasm he created
Speaking as the son of God
An act that took him to the cross
And with the Jews at odds
His wake was legendary
Existing still today
Was it myth and superstition?
Or a way to control the fray?
The things we put our stock in
Believing without doubt
A vortex for our energy
Will eventually come about
Jesus knew his place in time
He came to teach us each
We too are each God’s children
And the power’s in our reach
The problems now we’re having
Gain our full attention
As time brings them to fruition
We’ll all be in detention
We’re observers and creators
Guilty for what comes to be
Misusing our power badly
And resisting what we see (1)
