As Above, So Below

We take ourselves quite personally
A normal thing to do
The dictates of the ego
Human logic too

Compare that to a body
Composed of many cells
Organs, differentiated
None jobless, we can tell

When fed the right ingredients
It builds a body strong
An organ prone to selfishness
In that system don’t belong

Disease, discomfort would prevail
In a system of this sort
Mirroring our current norm
As fake news reports

Intellect, intelligence
Creativity some might say,
Steps in toward survival
Can’t be any other way

And as a body breaks apart
In a system such as this
Culture likewise follows
Ending in a twist

Intelligence prevailing then
Each human cell its part
To share Universal Energy
As the cells within a heart

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
