Chalk line of Value

by | Mar 28, 2021 | Philosophy

Money as a measurement
Of our value and our worth
Cultural indoctrination
We’ve lived with from our birth

Creativity and peacefulness
Our birthright one and all
But the need to sell ourselves
Clearly caused our fall

Trotlines of our perceptions
Yield a mighty catch
As conflicting mis-convictions
Sanctions disdain, so easily met

The walk, the talk, the color
All surveyed, as a rule
Unconsciously get surveyed
Opinions and judgment just are tools

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
