Changing viewpoints

Our awareness of reality has changed over time, owing to those amongst us
willing to step into uncharted spaces.

Marco Polo, for example, through his writings of the New World, he helped
move us from the ‘flatlanders’ perspective.

Another example is Freud. For many decades we were stuck with his views of
sexuality and the ‘Oedipus Complex.’ Some perverted perspective that boys
are jealous of their fathers because of their love of their mother.

Carl Jung, Freud’s protégé discovered Freud’s hypocrisy; it seems Freud had
been having a long term illicit relationship with his sister-in-law, who
abided with him and his wife.

Thus, Freud was a contradiction in terms. He was ‘reading his own eyelids’
coined his theories and carved them into history

Each of us are forces in the world, ‘index cards’ holding the space open
for this or that, whatever our particular integrity dictates.

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
