Dualism

[I’ve been attempting to capture the concepts of non-duality and
dualism. This is the second swipe at it.]

The industry of health
Has a common goal
Supporting religions, dualistic view
Mind and body are not whole

Our energy, a primary thing
In a meat sack of its own
Collectivized in cells and structure
Provided all on loan

A dualistic view separated
Components cut in half
Sickness as well as aging
Become the hidden path

As in the separation theory
The mind and body split
One does not affect the other
Come on, “get off of it”

Doctors prescribing Xanax
Thought & nerve integration?
Based on watching TV news?
. . . An afterwork sensation

Trying just to settle down
From a hard day’s work
News at 5 or 6 o’clock
Gettin’ all the dirt

To undermine our confidence
Consternation is a tool
Fed to us by spoonfuls
They view us all as fools.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
