God is Love

by | Mar 8, 2021 | Philosophy

God is love it’s said
Intangible at best
A quality oft’ longed for
Part of each human quest

While we are expressing
God’s nature through action
We’re expressing His essence
By degree, if just a fraction

God lives inside our motive
As love leads our very way
We demonstrate our spirit
Through our actions everyday

Our culture makes us human
Competing for each bite
A job to earn our money
Without which is a blight

TV vends our values
Distorts our point of view
Enforcing judgment and comparison
In most everything we do

“Be in the world, not of it”
As set forth in the Bible
Observing each reaction
Ensuring thus survival

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
