Handmade Quilt

Life is like a handmade quilt
Displaying pieces of differentiation
The elite, homeless, working poor
Each in habitual situations

Cultural habituation
Runs on a certain brand of fuel
Panels on the quilt are textured
Money insulated, value … as a tool

Some, there are among us
Play monopoly with a gun
Building Forces of defense
To protect them in their run

They understand man’s nature
Reconstructing reality as we go
Based on ideas concretized
To which propaganda’s on a roll

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
