A Normal Narrative

I give too much credibility
to the Bible weaned positions
of those who walk our streets
promoting negative conditions

A recent conversation
with a quiet, decent guy
allowed me to be there
with my in and outer eye

I noticed how I judged him
as he began his long tirade
’bout the sin of law just passed (*1)
“Our nation will be punished, I’m afraid!”

As the 1% plan and plot
to depopulate the globe
his beliefs will come to pass
as results will surely show

This is what ‘they’ count on
. . . .Bible prophecy revealed. . .
by men who plot around ideas
with their motives tightly sealed.

The only hope we have
is that Spirit will win out
as the 1%ers attempt to dominate
things will turn themselves about

May the energies ‘they’ propagate
. . . . a dismal end for all. . . .
Let them get their tail caught
and reverse the coming fall

(*1) Gay marriage, I think it had been condoned by law, allowing partners
to find exemption in marriage. So, the guy I was talking to said there
would be a punishment meted out on us because it was immoral according to
his standards.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
