Intention Affects Our Actions

by | Mar 8, 2021 | Law

Now, in a court of law
Intention becomes a part
‘Thought and Will’ on trial
Conjecture, a legal start

Action, Will, Intention
A psyche predisposed
From an inside Source or outward
Influence clearly grows

Overt, covert intention
Self-serving, to say the least
Achieve in time, through perseverance
Perhaps robbing others of their peace

My writing began so long ago
Ideas capture my attention
It seems to me the writing of
Releases their retention *1

Personal, no question
But in observations seen
Others too affected
And everything in-between

Footnotes:

*1 I had observed years back that when I wrote, either people (some people)
began to see more then they had; or I was just seeing what they already
saw. There were many people with whom I had close contact that seemed to
shift in perspective, so it made me wonder about whether, somehow, I’d had
an affect or not. It’s still a matter of speculation.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
