Metaphorically Speaking

The world is one big molecule
Changing with each breath
Bringing new life forward
And leading some to death

Every thought, an impact (*1)
A reality unchained
Our greatest fears experienced
As we try to just maintain

See a ‘thought’ as little more
Than a gnat, ‘banana made’ (*2)
You’ll be a walking meditator
And a world of problems saved.

3/4/15

(*1) Some of our thoughts come to us from the past, our experiences (good
or bad), they can often come in the form of a judgment. Some are generated
around us coming from the TV. If you’re sensitive you can even hone in on
others emotions (good or bad) and think they’re yours.

(*2) If you compare that thought that grabs your attention to the gnats
that seem to come out of nowhere when bananas are around. Try letting that
invading negative thought go, you’ll be less likely to suffer a negative
outcome.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
