Mirroring Back to Me!

by | Mar 7, 2021 | Philosophy

This was written to a friend that kept reiterated his lack of education.
Personally, looking at the state of the world, I think ‘education’ has
taken a toll on the world and done worse things to our culture then what
the left is calling our ‘Climate Crisis.’ But, sometimes, for the same
reason, lack of education, I also feel inadequate. So my friend actually
became a mirror for me to see myself. I shared the poem with him; but I
think that part escaped him. His name is Keith.

I hear your voice in me
It resonates loud and clear
Running down your frailties
I said, “Please stop it dear”

GOD provides us mirrors *1
Our failings to provide
Assumptions we accept
Thank GOD for our inner Guide

The earth, a giant magnet
We’re magnetic, just as well
Drawing what we need to know
Yet, sometimes resembles hell

The good, the bad, what’s in-between
We generate for our good
To view our strength and weaknesses
Until they’re understood

Language is a four-edged sword
A way to reach our wants
Asking for, receiving thus
As infants speak with grunts

Language then, creative
Providing for our needs
Asking and receiving
And seeing where it leads

Metaphysics enters the picture
Where language is concerned
Creating outside of what exists
A lesson needing to be learned

Use the news and its’ narratives
Fear and animus creation
Lies distort reality
By way of Globalist legislation

So, what we say and what we hear
Gives us who we are
As a person certainly
But as a culture near and far

People of a by-gone age
Accountable for their spells
Acceptance and fear of others adhered
Cast their Soul in hell

Much of life is hidden
Exploited by the few
Who’d use another’s inner force
To accomplish something new

Back now to the point with you
Broadcasting a limited education
DROP IT as significant
In view of human suffocation

We see it used so selfishly
As in control and domination
Science, medicine politics
Aimed at universal devastation

So, unless you’re bragging
Let it leave your mind
Experience is the Great Teacher
A better one you won’t find!!

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
