Nightshade Plants

Prostaglandins are to hormones
As oxygen to the lungs
Generated or destroyed
By taste buds on a tongue.

The foods we choose to nourish us
May not nourish us at all
But rather, destroy chances
Of a very old age fall.

Nightshade plants need watching
As havoc they can bring
To joints we hold as crucial
In doing anything.

Tomatoes, potatoes and eggplants
Are three to name a few
Commonly found in diets
Parmasianed, or in a stew.

The absent prostaglandins
Brings arthur home to us
Arthritis is his full name
It’s our choices we need cuss.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
