Pain

Pain has many faces
And Perhaps purposes to serve
From physical to emotional
To which our attention is disturbed

The Source, the cause … duration
Differing, of course …
Just energetic congestion
Or, the result of a divorce

Massage has served me well
It’s’ helped me understand
A Tsubo point that’s blocked
Can be freed … by the touch of hand

Perhaps then mental pain
Can be understood through writing
Getting what’s inside out
The mental block your fighting

[3/27/21 Note] Through massage I learned that if a tsubo or
acupressure point is blocked, energy builds up behind it to cause pain, so
unblocking it will allow the energy to flow to release the pain. Here it
is being suggested that in getting whatever thoughts and emotions out in
front of ourselves, through the process of writing, perhaps that’s a way to
evolve or transform the self by releasing the pent up ideas that hold us
from development.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
