Perceived Value

by | Mar 22, 2021 | Philosophy

Something has a value
As agreed upon together
A ring, a house a car
Or, a hat without a feather

Where two or more will gather
Deciding on a thing
Value’s either there or not
When two in agreement cling

You buy a house for mega bucks
Cause the value seems so clear
But let conditions change
It may not be true my dear

Money is just a medium
Replacing barters past
But, with its’ concentration
An evil shadow casts

Money has no value
If there’s not to share
Its’ value is in movement
When it shifts from here to there

Note: Money, cell phones, mainstream media are all distractions that
absorb so much of our attention. Each one individually is just an innocent
aspect of our current environment; but when we allow ourselves to become
addicted, they become a force.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
