Flatlanders Hold Their Ground

by | Mar 6, 2021 | Philosophy

The products of mistake we’ve made
Reappears each passing age
Until the lesson learned for sure
Let’s us turn a different page

Resistance creates a change
Supporting manifestation
Psychological debris the cause
Which robs us of salvation.

The charge, a thought, a feeling
For which we’ve paid a price
Can be released, forgiven
Some do it in the name of Christ

The mechanism isn’t important
Though multitudes would argue so
Flatlanders held their ground
In ages so long ago

We stop ourselves with reasons
In logic have concluded
But shaped inside the matrix
Our reasoning polluted

The matrix or social structure
Demands standards it exacts
Defining who we grow to be
As well what we attract

We whine about our given lot
Yet, the whining creates increase
Each spirit aligning with us
Takes us further from our peace

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
