Political Babble

The AMERICAN CORPORATION, INC. (*1)
Would like to break our Constitution
Violate our human rights
Under the United Nations institutions

Illegal actions done by Congress
Signed our rights away
Turned a sovereign people
Essentially to slaves

Our Congress of supposed representation
Now in the pockets of corporations
As with pharmaceutical giants
As they are free from litigation

They are licensed to make potions
Unleashed on those of us
That think ‘scientific principles’
Are something we can trust

NOW, from the Oval Office (*2)
The word ‘MANDATE’ being thrown
By an actor or just an old prick. . .
Or, hell, maybe just a clone

As the mandate catches wind
Companies get in line
Demanding of employees
To keep their job. . . it’s vaccination time

Employers run the risk
If damage should prevail
To one adhering to the mandate
And cause their health to fail

They would be responsible
Therefor economics come into play
For damaging an employee’s health
Who knows how much they’d have to pay

So the drug companies produce the poison
But, therein get a pass
For death or damage done
It’s the employer they’ll take to task.

Footnotes:

(*1) It was in 1871 when Congress violated Constitutional Law and turned
our country over to corporations. We became CORPORATION OF AMERICA, INC.
This supposedly made all of us the property of this corporation by virtue
of being born here.

(*2) I use the term ‘Oval Office’ loosely, they say when old Joe is in
something that resembles the Oval Office, it’s really a studio set.

Linda Brady

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
