Pray Without Ceasing

by | Apr 3, 2021 | Philosophy

Religion tells us prayer
Will answer all our questions
Will deliver us from evil
Provide us with unending blessings

It seems then that churches
And all those close to God
Should practice what they preach
To improve their economic odds

Pray night and day, unceasing
For God will bring relief
According to the theory
And philosophy of belief

Everyone uses the written word
To justify their ends
It’s ten per cent that’s harvested
Guilt, religions closest friend

Money, is man’s creation
A measurement of sorts
Something that’s been created
And ‘covetation’ is a sport (*1)

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
