Precipice of Universal Change

by | Mar 8, 2021 | Health

The universe, a chalkboard
Many have come to see
Looking back to yester-year
We refer to history

Samaria, Egypt
An echo’s all that’s left
Coming in and leaving
But marking every step

Lead liners for the aqueducts
A ‘boo-boo’ now perceived
Wherein science and technology
Comes along, and sometimes leaves *1

In a competitive society
It’s the bottom line that leads
Yet, a new age is upon us
Designed to set us free

History is reflective
Of the limits we have seen
The pyramids, enslavement
And duty to the King

In the currency of our present world
Education gets applause
Yet vision and intelligence
Creates a momentary pause

This chapter that we’ve faced
Has revealed so many things
Survival requires awareness
To assess what life brings

In a 24-hour day
Chopped into tiny pieces
Time monitored and measured
To all the things it reaches

Nine to five, dark to light
In this period, life’s disrupted
Health also on the line
With much TV fear encrusted

An economy, put on hold
Economic jeopardy for many
A mortgage, rent and groceries
For some, money wasn’t plenty

With health and jobs online
As the TV sells its story
A home-based business now makes sense
Passive residual income in its glory

An education has its merits
But intelligence, integrity go far
In this world, with its complexities
That sometimes seems bizarre

A telephone, a list of friends
Those people that you love
Need support nutritionally
You’ve intuition from above

Drawn into this space and time
For reasons you may not understand
But with time and dedication
Your confidence will expand

The universe is a chalkboard
We’re at the precipice of change
Everything learned and shared
Will manifest as claimed

The anxiety of decision
Is the perfect place to be
As it indicates a space that’s new
As if a foreign land to see.

Living within our smallness
Comfortable a least
But breaking all those boundaries
Will bear a different kind of peace.

Vasayo, as an agent
Newly on the scene
Brings education and potential
Despite the fact we’re green

A heart-mind ever caring
Felt as well as heard
In the valley of experience
Success that’s well deserved

*1 The lead in the liners of the aqueducts leached lead into the water.
This was well in advance of understanding the nature of minerals and
chemicals on the human organism. Right now, in our mainstream world we’re
seeing a lot of pseudo-science. I’ll let that one be.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
