Pushing Back or Entering In

by | Aug 17, 2021 | Uncategorized

In this fast-paced reality
Change always on the move
Waves, particles, materialization
Experience, exotic fuel

You entered, absent-mindedly
With an agenda all your own
To buy my skill and time
Not like a pay-day loan

With needs not found uncommon
And habits to conform
Conversations opened many doors
A synthesis was born

Temptation now is knocking
With memory an under-tow
Currents find me paralyzed
Experience it? Or let it go?

The vitality of forbidden fruit
Creates a hunger all its own
Yet history needs no repeating
As life itself is just a loan

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
