A life that’s redirected
Is conscious at its base
Basically it’s conscious then
Of others in our race

The human race, specifically
Born of Adam down the line
Sanctified in the Spirit
God centered, as defined

Reprioritizing our ambitions
Comes often with a price
Sacrificing bad habits
Surrendering each vice

The work we willingly go through
As we cultivate our soul
Is a muscle hidden inwardly
That others soon will know

The steps we take to forge our soul
Are taken, not alone
The dross of imperfection
Has unconsciously been sown

To reverse that proposition
Each moment life extends
Opportunity in each context
With a foe or closest friends

Church is not the only place
God visits once a week
But lives through us day by day
Apparent every time we speak

Linda Brady

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
