Setting Poetry Aside

The following must have been a comment to a Facebook post.

“The past is in memory, the future in imagination: what gives the present
(the NOW moment) that “stamp of reality?”
Lalit Chawla.

“The stamp of uncertainty, and the sadness of our existence, gives the
present the stamp of reality.
Samuel Ketema

The following is my response:

I hear what you’re saying and I agree that the interpretation that we put
on our lives gives each moment a sense of reality. But it also seems that
what you describe is also part of what we’ve been taught, part of our
indoctrination, part of the enculturation process.

Our world, its construction and systems help to separate us from our
spiritual power, as a matter of fact it is designed to have us believe that
we are a victim of circumstances and have no say in the matter. But,
belief itself is the culprit. We are quantum mechanical organisms. We are
spirits that have incarnated into a world system of givens (laws,
religions, politics, DNA constraints, prejudices, economic boundaries and
barriers) that would have us believe that that which exists is reality,
solid and immovable.

One of the ONLY values of history is to look into its’ face and see how
things have changed, evolved over time. We no longer wear Egyptian garbs
and headdresses (the same way). We no longer sinch our waists or routinely
wear dresses that billow out or drag the floor. We can look into history’s
face and see that sometimes slow progressive change that eventually engulfs
all of us. We call it progress. But I think progress looks a little
different. I’m not altogether sure what progress actually looks like, but
in the following I’m going to attempt to hazard a guess.

The Chinese speak of our bodies as energy systems. Accordingly, we have 12
meridians (metaphorically speaking: highways) along those meridians are
acupressure or acupuncture points, (metaphorically like rest stops along
the highway). When I learned to do massage, they said there were 365 of
them. More recently they are claiming over 700 of them.

Emotions and attitudes of fear, hate, anger, prejudice, judgment all
restrict energy flow and affect our health. But. . . the other aspect of
this personal journey is the collective one. In addition to being affected
by all of your own personal input, as you move in and around your world . .
. your personal environment, you’re empathetically affected by others.
There is no separation, we unconsciously feel what’s going on around us.
Ok, maybe not everyone is affected, as it seems. Narcissists seem to have
an armor that makes them unaware or unsympathetic to what they see or
produce for others.,

So, what’s my point. As we rise above the static frequency of the world,
we can then see how being in the world affects reality. So, the syllogism
shifts from being a victim of it to being that which brings light and
transformation to it.

The first step (seems to be) to see it for what it is. Unfortunately, too
many people stop here and do nothing but reinforce it with their
complaints. The force and power of their consciousness is being harnessed
by the dark forces in order to sustain chaos. Therefore, coupled with the
recognition of the problem must be an understanding (not a belief, not a
judgment, not a conviction) but an awareness that everything is comprised
of energy, just as we are and therefore subject to change. That position
is a neutral position which allows us to be conduits, capable of impacting
our own reality and the world reality.

Our current system and thus us individually are ‘spell-bound.’ Witches use
to be burned at the stake for what was considered creating spells. But if
you look at reality metaphorically, as if Creative Intelligence is trying
to get a point across to us through the unconscious, you’ll notice that at
the basic level each word is reflective of ‘spelling,’ laws are spells.
The Constitution is so, religions are so. Everything created in our world
through the use of language are spells to solidify what we’ve come to
accept as reality.

We are conveyors of reality, conduits of change; but, it’s up to each one
of us to awaken from the spells that have made us a slave to the Matrix.

I’d suggest you see your sense of uncertainty and sadness as an umbrella
given to you by those who would stymie our personal worth and power.
Remove it (the umbrella) and allow Creative Intelligence to engulf your
life for a richer secure place to be.

Thank you for stimulating me to come forward

[7/4/21 As I was cleaning up my files I ran across this and thought it
worthy of sharing. In so much of my poetry I attempt to pull together
ideas about what’s going on politically as well as attempting to reflect on
the philosophy of humans as spirits connected to a higher force and
affecting everything around them, this dialogue not only connects the dots
it sums everything up.

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
