Simple Bribery

If a cop, a traffic stop
Stumbles on money’s favor
Bribery is the label
Reflected in the cops behavior.

Laws define, such as this
For reasons we all know
Cut, dried and pasteurized
Reflecting actions that will show

Yet, bribery needs redefining
Including favors Congress sought
By those who’d use the system
To advantage money’s lot. ..

But money owns the intellect
To maneuver ’round the rocks
Creating value, as perception
Making short work of legal blocks.

Labor fought for decades
Many losing life and limb
For concessions now abandoned
Labors ‘twilight’ is closing in

Congress is, through Capital (*)
Thieves protected by the law
Sent our jobs off packing
Toward an economic fall

A man intent on murder
Can by law be tried
What of murdering a culture
A crime here be denied?

The fox is in the hen-house
Dressed in chicken drag
An appetite that’s satisfied
And an attitude to brag

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
