Virtue

by | Mar 20, 2021 | Philosophy

A virtue speaks of character
Our mind expects the best*(1)
A value seen in others
That often times we test

Generosity of spirit
With money, time or both
Someone we know to count on
To help us keep afloat

A virtue could be beauty
As outwardly displayed
Might include their nature
Or be absent, I’m afraid

Something perhaps we’re born with
Or developed along the way
By the power of our effort
Or bestowed because we pray

*(1) Generally speaking we judge other people by ourselves (projection);
sometimes from experience.

Linda Brady

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
