[West Coast Linda] Education for Better or Worse

by | Mar 21, 2021 | Uncategorized

When we’re young, education, especially history, philosophy and psychology
seems like such a waste of time.

“If it’s not going to help me make a living, what’s the point,” we say.

Yet, history, philosophy and psychology tells us where we’ve been, how we
got where we are and what tactics are being employed to keep us in place.

Yet. . .some dare ask, “What is the Matrix?. . .

Our dreams are implanted or impacted by advertising and a dose of idealism.

Our acceptance or resistance is tracked by opinion polls.

We surrender our health to a treadmill existence and unconsciously yearn
for something unnamed.

Education can help limit the sense of constraint imposed by the past.
[[Or, contrarily, as seen in this era of Covid Lockdowns and Lockouts
strengthen the sense of personal insignificance under the spell of an
overriding governmental agency.]

Grandma Linda is a squigily peg in a square hole. Her poetry is aimed at moving the world to love, unity and perfect margaritas. And after years of perfecting the art, she has the skill to paint a better world and make it so.

When she is not serving customers, gazing at rocks, or visiting her grandchildren Linda is writing poetry. And even during all the above activities she has been known to write still.
